This is the link that costs the most when it breaks. Run a live test booking and confirm payment captures cleanly: the deposit, the balance schedule, the security hold. Confirm a failed payment triggers a retry and an alert rather than silently letting a guest in for free. A payment leak is invisible until checkout, and at peak volume you will not catch it by eye.
Step Five: Post-Booking Handoffs
A confirmed, paid booking must fan out into the operation: cleaning dispatched, guest comms scheduled, owner record updated, calendar synced. Confirm each handoff fires off the single booking event automatically. Any handoff you trigger by hand is a handoff that gets missed when ten bookings land in an hour.
Step Six: Failure Visibility
The final audit step is about the breaks themselves. When a step in the flow fails, do you find out? Build or confirm the alerts: a failed payment, an unanswered inquiry past a threshold, a booking with no cleaning task.
